While the rest of the country wallows through the never ending Great Recession, you'll be relieved to know that one area has not suffered at all; that's because you send all your money there. In fact, Washingon DC has prospered. According to CNBC, "The nation's capital, in fact, posted the biggest increase in household income, an 8.1 percent jump, in the recession and its aftermath, as federal government payrolls grew." And as the ranks of wildly overpaid bureaucrats, lobbyists, and lawyers swells, all that money has resulted in the best housing market in the country. According to the Case-Schiller index, Washington's housing market, currently with an index value of 185, has far outperformed the rest of country; New York is at 165, LA at 164, and, at the bottom of the list, those poor fools in Detroit who try to make real products, at 70. Give it up baby! The only product you really get paid to make in the USA these days is ways of taking money from the people that actually make stuff!
